Yaesu FT450D digital mode setup
What you need -
HARDWARE
Audio connection - USB Audio dongle and two 3.5mm tip-sleeve-ring cables (I made my own), you can of course use your computer’s soundcard.
Data connection -USB to RS232 Serial DB9 9 pin COM Port Adapter (if not female 9 pin plug you’ll need #3 as well) I bought the wrong one.
DB9 gender changer (optional)
Wiring for data (Audi in/out) to 2 x 3.5 mm audio jacks inner pin and gnd only

Hold F for one second (depending on KEYHOLD setting)
then press DSP/SEL
Rotate DSP/SEL to get to (each of these)
CAT RTS, press DSP/SEL and select ENABLE
CAT TOT (cat timeout) select 10
CATRATE set to 38400 (match with software setting)
D-Type, press DSP/SEL and select USER-U
My WSJT-X Radio settings, of course, yours may need to be different.
These are for Ubuntu Linux, Windows ports are different, check device manager, ports.
Radio: FT450D
Serial port: USB
Data bits: Default, Default.
PTT Method: CAT
Mode: Data/Pkt
Split Operation: None
Confirm with TEST CAT, TEST PTT
